Hussain, Loudi, lead way

ALL SMILES: The successful Alexandra School team alongside Denise Roberts, who is assistant manager at Barclays in Oldham, Abid Hussain (Oldham Greenhill Community Sports Club) and Neil Cadd, secretary of Glodwick Cricket Club.
ALEXANDRA Junior School came out on top in a match organised by Oldham Greenhill Community Sports Club in conjunction with Glodwick Cricket club.
Batting first, they made 140 for five against against Roundthorn.
Daniel Hussain led the way with a fine 50, while Thyub Ali was the pick of the bowlers with three for seven from three overs.
Roundthorn soon found themselves up against it at 12 for three, before finally succumbing to 105 all out.
Kasim Loudi did most of the damage with five for 23 off his three overs.
The event was sponsored by Barclay’s Spaces for Sport as part of a long-term arrangement with Glodwick. Barclays awarded the club a substantial grant to help develop the Warren Lane ground.
THE latest round of matches in the under-13s division of the Saddleworth and District League were washed out.
