Caitlin collects award

CAITLIN WAREING won the top girl swimmer award for the 11-year age group in the City of Liverpool Summer Sprint Meet.

The Oldham Aquatics swimmer captured four golds in the 50m and 100m breaststroke, 50m backstroke and 200m IM adding a silver in the 100m backstroke and a hat-trick of bronzes in the 50m and 100m butterfly and 100m freestyle.

For the boys in this age group, Kyle Clegg won gold in the 50m breaststroke and a silver in the 100m breaststroke.

Hannah Clegg claimed golds in the 13-years 50m and 100m butterfly and 200m IM.

George Morreal was a victor in the 14-years 100m backstroke and for the girls Vicky Burgess picked up a bronze in the 100m butterfly.

Aquatic swimmers also enjoyed success in the Harrogate B Grade Meet, and none more so than Vicky Burgess who won five golds in the 15-years and over age group.

Her victories came in the 50m, 100m and 200m butterfly, 50m freestyle and 100m backstroke. She was also runner-up in the 100m IM and a bronze in the 100m breaststroke.

Kyle Clegg won the 50m and 100m breaststroke in the 9/10 years age group, while Rebecca Lewis was a double gold medallist in the 11/12 years 50m and 200m butterfly.

Nicola Farrell finished first in the 100m IM and Jessica Fullalove was a victor in the 200m butterfly.

Chloe Basnett won gold in the 13/14 years 50m freestyle, Harry Entwistle won the 100m butterfly and 200m backstroke, while Oliver Coverley won the 50m butterfly and 100m IM. Jack Slater collected a gold in the 100m backstroke.
