Bennett bags a hat-trick in derby day win

ABY BENNETT was the star of the show as R.O.C.S FC under-13s claimed derby-day spoils in the North Manchester Girls League.
The young hot-shot bagged a hat-trick in a 3-2 defeat of Oldham Athletic, for whom Georgia Caffrey and Lidia Tunstall replied.
Rhema Mears repeated the feat for the under-15s, who overcame Heyside Angels 5-1. Lauren Steel got the other two goals.
And the under-16s, with Faye Hardicre helping herself to four of the goals, swept aside Uppermill 9-1.
Nicole Kenyon (two), Emma Watson, Angela Fox and Bethany Ormrod made up the tally.
KATIE Halligan and Ella Rigby shared eight goals as Heyside Angels Whites under-11s proved too good for Harpurhey Angels.
Also on the scoresheet in the 13-0 triumph were Lavinia Whitehead (three), Emily Kay and Molly Taylor.
Under-12s Angels Inter, with Caitlin Senior (two) and Jade Hughes (two) getting the goals, defeated Angels Clarets 4-1 — Ashleigh Wylie replied — and a brace from Alix Sephton earned Angels a 2-2 draw against Unicorn Athletic.
The goalscorers came in ‘twos’ when Angels Clarets under-14s defeated Angels Blues 4-2.
Beth Mellor and Kelly Ward each weighed in with a double for Clarets, while Larkin replied with two of her own for the Blues.
MEGAN Tindall scored for OIdham Athletic Girls under-11s in a 1-1 draw against Heyside Angels Whites — Antonia Keogh replied — while goals from Jessica Bevan (two) and Feiruz Abullah sealed a 3-2 success for the under-14s against Curzon Ashton. JADE Armstrong scored for Failsworth Dynamos under-12s, who went down 12-1 to Uppermill.
UPPERMILL Rockettes under-14s were pegged back on two occasions before eventually pulling clear to beat Denton Youth 8-4.
Jayme Butler-Jones (four), Kirsty Ashworth (two), Ellen Bergin and Megan Ashton hit the target.
