Counthill’s Alex Robb behind Elleyce Whiteley of Our Lady’s
GIRLS showed off their football skills in the first round of four matches in a seven-a-side competition at Royton and Crompton.
Year Eight and Nine pupils from five schools were action in a round-robin format.
Crompton and Royton won three of their games and drew the other, while Our Lady’s were also unbeaten thanks to a brace of victories and two draws.
Oasis — a mixture of pupils from South Chadderton and Kaskenmoor — won two, lost one and drew their other game.
The other schools in action were Counthill (one win and three defeats) and Kaskenmoor (four defeats).
The second set of matches takes place before Christmas, with another two in the New Year.
Three Year 11 boys from Crompton and Royton refereed the games.
