Heyside’s goal blitz
Date published: 08 October 2009
A LATE flurry of goals gave Heyside under-16s a 6-1 home win over Red Star in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League.
They led 2-0 at the break through Matthew Dell and the influential Jack Hilton but the visitors hit back and but for a stunning save from ’keeper James Lord would have levelled.
Then came the goal blitz through Dell, Tom Shaw (two) and Stefan Whaley to take Heyside clear.
