Cup-tie win for slick Dynamos

FAILSWORTH Dynamos under-15s are still on course for County Cup glory.
They moved into the next stage of the competition after a 4-2 win at local rivals Chadderton Juniors FC.
On target for Dynamos were Shaun Freeman (two), Macca Harewood and Alex Gregory.
Huddersfield and District League
UPPERMILL under-12s carried their excellent Huddersfield and District League form into the League Cup with a 2-1 win over Brighouse, who play in a higher division.
A great header from Matthew Schofield and a fine strike from Josh Barlow booked their place in the next round.
3D DYNAMOS under-12s ‘W’ had no trouble in disposing of Hade Edge in the League Cup.
Charlie Maslen (three), Joe Connolly (three), Aaron Rogers (two), Dominic Kerrison (two), Ellis Forshaw, Bradley Cruse, Bradley McEvoy and own goal were on target in the 14-0 triumph.
Under-13s ‘M’ were also in cup-tie action, and they came out on top 4-0 over Drighlington. Alex Milovanovic, Sam Wilson, Marcus Schofield and Jason Norris got the goals.
But the under-16s were beaten 4-3 by Yorkshire Lions in a terrific contest.
Two goals adrift after 15 minutes, they were level by the break thanks to Matthew Ralph and Jake Fielding.
3D went in front courtesy of a Ralph header, but Lions equalised with only three minutes on the clock, before going on to clinch victory in extra-time.
Rochdale and Oldham Youth League
HOLLINWOOD under-13s returned to winning ways in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League.
They dominated from the off to record an emphatic 9-0 victory over Chadderton Park Juniors.
Callum Taylor hit a hat-trick, Callum Wetton and Femi Ogunnuga scored two apiece, while Wesley HIndley and Luke Molly got the others.
JACK Warburton struck four times and Liam Kelly got the other as Heyside Juniors under-15s overcame Fothergill Falcons 5-2.
Tameside and District Junior League
CLUB bragging rights were up for grabs when Heyside Junior Blues under-11s and Heyside Juniors went head to head in the Tameside and District Junior League.
And it was the Blues who came out on top 7-2 thanks to goals from Owen Shaughnessy (three), Alex Walkden, Alex Hunt, George Riley and Kyle Robinson. Corey Pearson replied with a double.
A FINE performance from 3D Dynamos under-12s went unrewarded as they were beaten 2-0 by Hyde United in the League Cup.
Tameside Sunday League
ALL good things must come to an end.
Springhead under-14s lost their unbeaten record in the Tameside Sunday League when they were beaten 4-2 by Clayton Villa.
A goal down after five minutes, the local outfit drew level through leading marksmen Jordan Mortimer.
Behind for a second time, Springhead hit back when Kaimmen Morris placed a shot beyond the ’keeper’s grasp.
But they conceded another soft goal before the break, and a fourth after
AVRO Junior under-13s picked up maximum points thanks to a 3-0 defeat of Failsworth Dynamos.
DAVID Pelham scored the consolation goal as Boundary Park Juniors under-16s went down 4-1 to Oldham Greenhill.
Manchester Youth League
MATTHEW McCormack scored twice and Henry Hoskins got the other as Broadway Celtic under-11s edged out East Levenshulme 3-2 in the Manchester Youth League.
A SUPERB free-kick from Scott Woodlard earned Phoenix Athletic under-11s a share of the spoils against 3D Sharks.
East Manchester Junior League
AVRO Juniors under-14s returned to winning ways in the East Manchester Junior League.
They overcame Wythen-shawe Town 3-1 — Jake Jackson (two) and Dan Lindley got the goals — despite trailing 1-0 at half-time.
And the under-12s recorded a 3-1 win over Breaks 147.
