EXPONENTS of karate will be taking part in a huge tournament at Oldham Sports Centre this weekend.
Karate Competition’s Children’s Championships takes place at Oldham Sports Centre on Sunday, November 22 (9am-6pm).
And it is thought to be the first such event which will be beamed live on the internet via www.karateprofile.com.
Over 400 youngsters from throughout Britain will be in action in 54 different categories in the day-long event which has been organised by Failsworth’s Carl Davidson through the Karate Competitions.
Any profits will help pay for children to compete in the world championships in Morocco and Europeans in Turkey.
The event is costing £2,000 to stage and Davidson is looking for sponsorship. He can be contacted on 07966 174204.
