ST ANNE’S PEGGED BACK
DEFENCES were on top as Oldham St Anne’s under-11s and Shevington Sharks fought out a 6-6 draw.
All 12 points were scored in the second half, with Saints going ahead through Haider Khan’s effort from a smart Owen Baldwin pass. Khan’s conversion attempt was successful.
St Anne’s kept Sharks at bay until they conceded a penalty on the fourth tackle on their own line. The pressure proved too much and the visitors went over for try, which was converted.
St Anne’s under-10s were beaten 22-18 by Portico Vine.
Rob Charles scored two tries, with boy-of-the-match Ellis Rogers also touching down. Rogers, Charles and Adam Goodwin added the extras.
