Tom Keegan, Morgan Cook, Joe Fagan, Danny Noble and Jordan Chanock replied for local outfit, who had beaten their Chaddy End club-mates and holders in the first round of the competition.

Heyside’s smart new look
HEYSIDE Angels under-11s are the proud recipients of a new kit.

Coach Paul Whitehead won a competition organised by Co-operative Insurance and Co-op Bank and which appeared in the footballtradedirectory.com newsletter.

The under-11s were crowned Oldham Girls League champions last season, and three of the players, Molly Taylor, Ella Rigby and Lavinia Whitehead, scored more than 50 goals apiece.

Paul said: “We’ve been trying to raise funds for a new kit, but this means we can use the money we have to buy other equipment we need.”

The playing strip was handed over by Athletic favourite David Eyres.
