COMING THROUGH . . . Hulme’s Cameron Mason goes on the attack.
PUPILS from a clutch of Oldham Schools slam-dunked their way to basketball glory.
The youngsters from 10 schools converged at the Kaskenmoor Ball Hall for a Year Nine competition.
And Failsworth, who overcame Saddleworth in the last four, defeated Blue Coat 16-4 in the final. Blue Coat reached the final after victory over Counthill.
Six schools contested the Year Eight tournament, and Failsworth once again emerged victorious.
The teams played each other once, with Failsworth finishing top of the league from Hulme, followed by Saddleworth, Crompton House, Our Lady’s and Kaskenmoor.
And in a first versus second play-off for top honours, Failsworth beat Hulme to complete the double.
The Year 10/11 tournament was taking place today, while the Year Sevens are in action on Wednesday, February 3.
