North Manchester Girls League

ROCS under-15s hot-shot Lauren Steel was quick on the draw against Heyside Angels Clarets in the North Manchester Girls League.

The game was only 10 seconds old when Steel put ROCS in front.

She went on to complete a hat-trick in a 4-1 win. Rhema Mears got the other goal.

The under-16s, with Faye Hardicre (three), Megan Jackson and Angela Fox doing the damage, recorded a comfortable 5-1 victory over Oldham Athletic.

And goals from Abby Bennett (three), Ashleigh Spragg (two), Alys Wild, Leah Bickerstaffe and Keeley Taylor clinched an 8-2 win for ROCS under-13s against Uppermill.

OLDHAM Athletic under-11s, with Alisha Brooker (two) and Megan Tindall on the mark, overcame Droylsden 3-1.

The under-12s swept aside Curzon Ashton 5-0 — Laura Garlick (two), Tia Jackson (two) and Chloe Pickering got the goals — and the under-13s enjoyed a 6-1 win over Mossley.

Georgia Caffrey was the star of the show, scoring a hat-trick, while Lauren Ainsworth, Capprice McSharry and Emily Vale weighed in with one apiece.

And a double from Feiruz Abdullah clinched a 2-1 victory over Denton Girls.


A DOUBLE from leading scorer Georgia Blackshaw and a Caitlin Hall effort sealed a 3-1 win for Uppermill under-12s in an entertaining encounter against Failsworth.

The under-14s recorded a 2-0 win over a Rochdale Ladies side who set out to defend in numbers.

Uppermill created a hatful of chances, before Megan Ashton bundled the ball over the line.

And Ashton clinched victory and runners-up spot in the division with her second goal after half-time.


KAYLEIGH Larkin went nap and Leoni Harland scored twice as Heyside Angels Blues under-14s overcame Harpurhey United 7-3.

The under-13s were beaten 5-1 by Stockport County — Alix Sephton got the consolation — while Ella Rigby (two), Lavinia Whitehead and Katy Halligan scored for Angels Whites under-11s in a 4-0 defeat of Angels Blues.


CHADDERTON Park under-13s were beaten 3-2 by Curzon Ashton.

Hoppers on a high

CHADDY Hoppers under-13s strolled into the next round of the North Bury Junior League Cup with a 10-2 demolition of Radcliffe Boro ‘B’.

Andy Robins got four of the goals, while Gilly Clarke bagged a hat-trick. Lewis Gilligan, Josh O’Donnell and Kyle Robinson got the others.

Bowlee Youth League

GOALS from Brendan Cocker-Swanwick and Cameron Reavey clinched a 2-1 win for Phoenix Athletic under-12s against Shawclough in the Bowlee Youth League.


Lindsay’s double delight for Dynamos

REVENGE was sweet for 3D Dynamos under-13s ‘T’ against Clayton Villa in the Tameside and District Junior League.

Beaten 8-2 by Villa earlier in the season, 3D turned the tables with an excellent 2-1 win, thanks to Josh Lindsay’s double strike.


CHADDY End under-11s, with Robbie Wilkinson (three), Jordan Hardman (two), JJ Fraay, Matthew Gibson and Owen Woodward getting the goals, overpowered Dukinfield Tigers Amateurs 8-3.


RONAN Beckett (two), Conor Henley (two), Jack Wallace, Liam Standring and Joe Maw got the goals as Heyside JFC under-11s defeated Stalybridge Celtic 7-0.

Corey Pearson and Jordan Robinson scored for Juniors under-11s, who were beaten 3-2 by Uppermill, but Heyside Junior Blues under-11s brushed aside Dukinfield Tigers 15-2.

Owen Shaughnessy hit a double hat-trick, George Riley got three, Kyle Robinson and Jack Woodhead bagged two each.

Sam Alderson swapped his role in goal for a spell outfield and he ended up scoring his first goal for the club. Alex Walkden got the other.

Conor Green and Aidan Pass were on target for JFC under-12s, but they went down 4-2 to Wythenshawe.Tameside and District Mini-Soccer League
