HEYSIDE under-16s scored a last-minute winner for the second week running.
After last week’s late show against Broadway Celtic, it was visitors Springhead who suffered the agony, ironically a second successive blow for them having been 3-2 up with seconds to go against title favourites Littleborough only to lose 4-3.
This time Heyside came from behind after a goalless first half with captain Daniel Robertson flicking home the winner after Stefan Whaley’s fine 20-yard strike had equalised.
CHADDERTON FC Juniors beat Alkrington Dynamos 4-0 in the under-13s cup.
Two up inside 15 minutes, Chadderton weathered a fightback from spirited Alkrington before scoring twice after the interval.

Under-14 schoolboys slip after fightback
OLDHAM under-14s failed to make up ground on the leaders when they went down 4-2 to Salford in a Greater Manchester Schools’ League game at Broughton.
The local youngsters took time to settle and found themselves a goal down after eight minutes when Brad Lyditte fired home.
Worse was to follow when a Yanick Omari strike gave the home side a comfortable 2-0 advantage at half-time.
Oldham came back strongly after the break and pulled a goal back through Billy Burgess (Radclyffe) before Dylan Moth (South Chadderton) levelled the scores after 58 minutes.
But Salford responded and regained their lead through Omari after 66 minutes before he completed his hat-trick two minutes later to put the game beyond a disappointed Oldham side.
The under-14s have a blank date on Saturday.
But the under-15s return to action with a three-in-one game against Manchester (10.30am, venue to be announced).
The game is a Greater Manchester Schools’ League match, North-West Alder Owen Cup first-round tie and Greater Manchester Schools’ County Cup quarter-final all rolled into one.
