County Cup
AVRO under-14s moved into the semi-finals of the County Cup with a fine performance at the Lancaster Club against a very good team from Boothstown.
A goal by Nathan Brooks in the first period and a superb strike by Jake Jackson in second-half injury-time saw Avro through 2-0,
CHADDY End under-11s were less fortunate, losing 3-1 to De La Salle in their quarter-final. Robbie Wilkinson got the consolation goal.
Tameside Sunday League
BROADWAY Celtic under-12s won 4-3 at Higher Blackley Rebels, Ciaran Sterritt settling the issue in the last two minutes after earlier goals from Billy Slattery, Ismael Khan and Tristan Jones.
East Manchester Junior League
CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-12s beat AFC Stanley 5-1 and Ashley Hartley had plenty to celebrate, scoring a hat-trick on his birthday. Also on target were Ryan McConkie and Darius Worsley.
Huddersfield & District Junior League
FOUR goals from Alex Milovanovic and two from Michael Kitchen helped 3D Dynamos under-13M to a 6-2 win over Kirkheaton in a hard-fought contest.
Tameside & District Junior League
TOM DOWIE’S goal was not enough to prevent a 3-1 defeat for 3D Dynamos under-12T against Heyside.
