Heyside celebate cup treble

FOOTBALL: HEYSIDE Angels under-12s Inter celebrated Knock-out Cup glory for the third season on the trot.

Winners at under-10s and under-11s level, they completed the hat-trick after a 4-1 defeat of Uppermill. Caitlin Senior and Jade Hughes got two goals each.

Angels completed the treble in the previous two years and they are on course to repeat the feat.


ALICIA Stretton struck four times for Heyside Angels Clarets under-12s in an emphatic 6-1 defeat of Curzon Ashton Blues.

Ella Milovanovic and Hannah Smedley weighed in with the other goals.

Kayleigh Larkin hit a hat-trick and Leoni Harland scored twice for under-14s Angels Blues in a 5–2 win over Rochdale Ladies.

Under-11s Angels Blues, with goals from Emily Pennells (two), Jessica Lane (two), Antonia Keogh and Sophia Norbury, swept aside Curzon Ashton Blues 6-0.

And under-11s White overcame Uppermill 9-1. On target were Lavinia Whitehead (four), Ella Rigby (two), Molly Taylor (two) and Katy Halighan.

CALLUM Hendrick scored twice and Corey Pearson got the other as Heyside Juniors under-11s defeated Tintwistle Athletic 3-1 in the Tameside and District Junior League.

The under-12s had Jordan McLoughlin (two), Callum Harris (two) and Bradley Legge on target in a 5-1 win over Royton Town.
