Shaw keep Alt in check

INDOOR CRICKET:
IN a top versus bottom clash, Shaw were too good for Glodwick Alt in the Oldham Cricket Development Group under-11s Indoor Cricket League.
Taking first knock, the Holebottom Clough outfit amassed 260 for one.
In reply, Glodwick Alt stuttered to 209 for six, with Birtwistle (two), Leach (two), Ashworth and Barlow among the wickets.
Woodhouses kept up the pressure with a 54-run win over Royton Two, who made 214 for four.
Josh Lees claimed two wickets, while Harry Evans and Joe Hanrahan got one each.
Woodhouses batsmen then blasted their way to 268 without loss. Evans (17), Sam Brooks (15) and Lees (12) were among the runs for the Medlock Road team.
Royton One (244 for two) also continued their good from with a 29-run victory over Austerlands (215 for seven).
Meanwhile, Max Yeo’s impressive form with the ball continued, taking another two wickets as Glodwick One restricted Uppermill to 225 for five.
Tom Jones was the mainstay of the Glodwick One innings — he compiled 13 — in a reply of 232 for four.
Euen Rigby recorded a superb hat-trick for Heyside in a 20-run defeat of Glodwick Two.
The lads from Little Hey Street had earlier made 262 for one, which featured 22 from Lewis Bardsley.
Glodwick were restricted to 242 for five thanks to the efforts of Rigby, Corey Pearson and Kieron McDonough.
Saddleworth One came out on top in their derby fixture against Saddleworth Two, for whom James Fish (16) impressed with the bat in a score of 237 for three. James Howard, Flynn Bradley and Richard Wilson were the wicket-takers.
Howard made 13 when it was his side’s turn to bat and, backed up by William Kay (11), Saddleworth One sneaked home by nine runs.
