One step nearer to glory

FOOTBALL:

WITH four games to go, Chadderton FC Juniors under-16s took a giant stride towards landing the Tameside and District Junior League title by sweeping aside Oswald Road 5-0.

Nathan Mayall notched a double, while Jack Beasley, Zamir Usmaan and Tom Shaw weighed in with a goal apiece.


3D DYNAMOS under-13s displayed plenty of grit and determination to draw 2-2 against Hollinwood Athletic.

They could only call upon 11 players, but were reduced to 10 midway through the first half because of injury.

But they dug deep and, thanks to efforts from Josh Lindsay and Jack Brocklehurst (penalty), picked up a point.

Meanwhile, expert finishing from Hyde United clinched a 4-0 win over a hard-working 3D under-12s side, who refused to throw in the towel.


KADE Howarth and Ryan Scholes bagged a brace apiece and Conor Henley got the other as Heyside JFC under-11s defeated Wythenshawe Town 5-1.

And under-11s Junior Blues, with Jack Woodhead, Owen Shaughnessy and George Riley on target, overcame Uppermill 3-0.

Callum Harris collected four goals for the under-12s in a decisive 8-1 victory against Royton Town. Noel Tottoh (two), Jordan Slattery and an own goal made up the tally.


ROBBIE Wilkinson scored twice and Owen Woodward got the other as Chaddy End under-11s overcame Medlock Rangers 3-1.


HARRY Southern bagged a hat-trick as Crompton Villa under-13s swept aside Fothergill Falcons 10-2 in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League Cup.

Also on target for Villa were Jack Johnson (two), Hayden Clarke, Chris May, Josh Croll, Callum McEvilly and Adam Crossman.


A MATTHEW Singleton treble and a Callum Mazynczenko effort clinched a 4-1 win for Chaddy End under-15s against Heyside Juniors.


CHADDY Hoppers under-13s Blue emerged victorious in a thrilling North Bury Junior League clash encounter against Marauder Tigers.

There were goals galore — 13 in total — with Hoppers recording 7-6 win.

Elliott Moss and Daniel Randle each notched hat-tricks and Nathan Randle got the other.
And under-13s Red were also celebrating after they registered a 5-2 success at Radcliffe Juniors.

Under-14s Red were also among the goals, posting an impressive 10-1 win over Elton and Walshaw Jaguars.

Stephen Warmby broke the deadlock, before Martin Kenny (two), Josh Hughes (two), Alex Harrison (two), with his first goals from Hoppers, Joe Gill, Ben Turner and Jac Raffa weighed in with the rest of the goals.

CHADDY End under-16s were shown the exit door in the Bury and Radcliffe Junior League Cup.

They were beaten 2-0 by Brandlesholme Warriors, but the under-17s picked up maximum points thanks to an emphatic 6-1 defeat of Bury Juniors. Liam Wilson (three), Josh Sinkinson, Max Kelland and Lewis Waterman did the damage.


A hat-trick from Sam Bagshaw inspired 3D Dynamos under-12s to a 7-2 win over Wakefield United in the Huddersfield and District Junior League.

Richard Kai, Bradley McEvoy, Charlie Maslen and Luke Cornforth, with his first goal for the club, were the other marksmen

The under-13s are up to second in the table after a 6-2 victory at Kirkheaton.

Michael Kitchen (two), Alex Milovanovic (two), Sam Griffiths, and Jason Norris scored for 3D.

The under-16s paid the price for a poor first-half performance — they were two goals adrift at half-time — in a 3-2 defeat by a committed Rastrick outfit.

Matt Ralph and Alex Kelly were 3D’s marksmen.


Semi-final recovery


SPRINGHEAD under-14s came from behind to book their place in the Tameside Sunday League’s Challenge Cup final.

The pacesetters defeated Moston Juniors 4-2 in the last-four tie thanks to goalas from Jordan Mortimer (two), Sean Dodsworth and Joe Hall got the goals


GOALS from Zak Porter and David Brown were in vain as Chaddy End under-15s succumbed 8-2 against Hattersley, and the under-16s were beaten 4-2 by Manchester Youth. John McMahon and Michael Anthony scored for Chaddy End.


CHADDERTON Park under-11s Cobras fought back from 3-1 down to defeat Clayton Villa 4-3.

Alexander Ralphs (two), Connor Evans and James Stott scored for Park.


DANIEL Lewis (two), Ross Morrison (two), Joe Dawson and Thomas Ireland were on the mark for Heyside Juniors under-14s in a 6-0 defeat of Stalybridge Celtic.


ROCS under-15s moved into the last four of the League Cup with a convincing 6-2 win over Failsworth Town.

Luke Bean was the star of the show with a hat-trick, Ellis Hallwood, Ryan McMylor and David Clegg got the other goals.Oldham still hunt for top honours


OLDHAM under-15s kept alive their Greater Manchester Schools’ League title hopes by drawing 1-1 at pacesetting Stockport.

The town team, who were beaten by Manchester in previous match a fortnight ago, looked to be heading for another defeat when their opponents scored after 17 minutes.

But Oldham came back strongly and were level five minutes before half-time thanks to a tremendous strike from Matthew Singleton (Crompton House).

The second period was one-way traffic with Oldham dominating, but they were unable to break down Stockport.

Oldham’s under-14s kept in match trim with a fine 1-0 win against Leeds.

James Schofield (North Chadderton) scored the only goal of the game after 20 minutes.



CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-11s suffered spot-kick agony in the last-eight tie of the East Manchester Junior League division one cup against Stalybridge.

Goalless after 60 minutes of play, the youngsters’ hopes of a semi-final place were dashed when they lost the penalty shoot-out 6-5

Alexander Jenkinson, Ryan Flitcroft, Jack Hamilton, Jordan Richardson and Ryan Salloway were successful from the spot.


ASHLEY Hartley and James Larty scored the consolation goals for Chadderton FC Juniors under-12s, who were beaten 8-2 by Middleton Lads.


RYAN Richardson put Avro Juniors under-14s in front at Northside, but they had to settle for a 1-1 draw after conceding a late equaliser.Manchester
