FOOTBALL: HOT-SHOT Andy Winterbottom is proving unstoppable in front of goal for Boundary Park Juniors under-16s in the Tameside Sunday League.

The sharp-shooter blasted a hat-trick in a 3-2 defeat of AFC Clayton and weighed in with three more in a 5-3 win over Oldham Greenhill. Danny Vickers and David Pelham got the other goals.

FAILSWORTH Town under-14s marched into the last four of the Tameside Sunday League Cup with a decisive 5-0 win over Barr Hill JFC.

On target for Town were Dylan Marshall (two), Curtis Ingham (two) and Antony Bowen,
But the under-15s lost 3-1 to Marauders JFC. Jack Fitton scored the consolation goal.

RYAN McMylor scored four times for ROCS under-15s in an emphatic 10-2 defeat of Harpurhey United Tigers.

Scott Reeves (two), David Clegg (two), Luke Bean and Collins Sinju made up the tally.


HEYSIDE Juniors under-14s, with goals from Ben Durrant (three), Joe Dawson, Ross Morrison and Daniel Lewis, recorded a decisive 6-1 win over Manchester Youth.

EFFORTS from Joe Burgoyne and Levi Brown were in vain as Chaddy End under-15s were beaten 3-2 by Failsworth Dynamos in the League Cup.

But the under-13s picked up a point in a 2-2 draw against Avro Juniors in a league game. Callum Buckley and Charlie Burton scored for Chaddy End to earn their side a share of the spoils.


CHADDERTON Parks under-11s Cobras were beaten 4-0 by Moston Brook.

ROCS under-15s displayed a hot streak in front of goal as they emerged victorious against their under-16s side in the North Manchester Girls League Cup.

Lauren Steel (two), Rhema Mears (two) and Shona Ninian got the goals in the 5-1 win, while Megan Jackson replied.

The under-13s, with goals from Abby Bennett and Samantha Bickerstaffe, picked up a point in a 2-2 draw against Curzon Ashton.

JAMES Larty scored the consolation goals as Chadderton FC Juniors under-12s were beaten 5-2 by AFC Clayton in the East Manchester Junior League.


Uppermill go nap

UPPERMILL under-15s extended their winning run to five games in the Huddersfield and District Junior League with a 4-2 defeat of Greetland.

On target were Luke Cosgrove, Leo Hughes, Louis Walsh and Jamie Kilburn.

The under-16s were jubilant after sweeping aside top-of-the-table Northoram 5-1. Phil Klich, Will Kelly, Matthew McGroarty, Tom Shackleton and Daniel Mills were the marksmen.

But the under-17s were beaten 3-0 by Marsden.

MATT Ralph, of 3D Dynamos under-16s, scored five minutes from time to clinch an impressive 2-1 win at Gomersal and Cleckheaton.

Will Linney put 3D ahead with a fine shot but the hosts, who were unbeaten at home, hit back to level after the break.

However, 3D had the last say as Ralph scored a late winner.

Holidays and injuries robbed the under-12s of nine players, but the 10 available worked their socks off to beat Saville Town 2-1.

And they had to come from behind after conceding a first-half goal.

3D equalised through Aaron Rogers and clinched victory thanks to Joe Connolly’s second-half effort.


Six of the best

CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-13s came from behind to beat Kingsway 6-2 in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League.

Trailing 2-1 in the early stages of the second half, the local side responded with two quickfire penalties, before sealing victory by taking their tally up to six.

On target for Chadderton were Dan Javed, Adam Marsden (two), Louis Gilligan (two) and Liam Eadsforth.

MOSTON Brook under-15s, featuring goals from Jordan Holt and Elliot Holden, were good value for their 2-0 win over Northside.

CROMPTON Villa under-13s are through to the next stage of the League Cup after a 3-1 defeat of Chadderton Park.

Jack Johnson (two) and a brilliant free-kick from Callum McEvilly did the damage for Villa.


SAM Bowles (two), Matty Singleton, Adam Mullins and Callum Mazynczenko were on the scoresheet for Chaddy End under-15s, who defeated Hopwood Lads 5-1.

ASHLEY Hartley helped himself to four goals as Chadderton FC Juniors under-12s swept aside Royton Town 8-2 in the Tameside and District Junior League.

Michael Gill (two), Darius Worsley and James Larty did the rest of the damage.

The under-16s marched on in their quest for a second title in three years as a double from Tom Shaw and further goals from Mike Taylor and Hayden McNally were enough to see off opponents Haughton Rangers 4-0.


ROBBIE Wilkinson scored the consolation goal for Chaddy End under-11s in a 6-1 defeat by Clayton Villa.


3D DYNAMOS under-13s crashed to a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Hollinwood Athletic — a week after the two sides fought out a 2-2 draw when 3D played the majority of the game with 10 men.

Josh Lindsay scored the consolation goal.

The under-12s, who were down to the bare bones, were involved in an exciting 3-3 draw with Heyside Juniors

Josh Kilgour put 3D in front, only for Heyside to draw level. 3D were back in front courtesy of Jack Churchill, but the game was all-square early in the second half.

Heyside then took the lead for the first time in the game, but 3D clinched a point when Churchill struck.
