Girls’ glory glee in the nail-biting nationals!

NETBALL: HULME Grammar School for Girls’ netball team took on the cream of the crop and came home more than happy!
They became national champions after winning the national school finals at Roedean School, Brighton.
Hulme entered the tournament as a regional runner-up and progressed to the final four after taking second spot in their group.
They saw off the challenge of Guildford High School with a 15-12 semi-final win.
In a nail-biting final they beat Parkstone Grammar 8-7 to lift the trophy.
The team featured Jess Whitworth, Holly Taylor, Amy Morris, Jess Illingworth, Alice Travis, Jess Fullalove, Lynda Onuoha (captain), Amy Whitehead, Eleanor Wright and Charlotte Robinson.
