Chaddy End’s Aiden shows he’s on the Ball

FOOTBALL: CHADDY End under-16s drew 3-3 with Curzon Ashton in the Tameside Sunday League thanks to Anthony Curran, Josh Horrit and Aiden Ball efforts.

On-form Chaddy went on to defeat Moston JFC 2-1, with Curtis Ingham and Ball getting on the scoresheet.


THE under-15s lost 3-1 to West End, with Joe Burgoyne grabbing the solitary goal.

But they followed it up with a 2-1 win at the expense of East Central, Burgoyne and JJ Rigby the scorers.


ROCS under-15s beat a strong Failsworth Town outfit 3-1 in the League Cup semi-final courtesy of goals from Luke Bean, Scott Reeves and Collins Sinju.

However, this was followed by a 1-0 home defeat to Harpurhey United Cobras.


IT was a five-star performance as Chadderton Park under-11s Cobras beat Hattersley 5-1.

Connor Evans (two), Alex Ralphs, Alex Parker and James Collins all got on the scoresheet as the Cobras ran riot.

RICKY Hall was on target for 3D Dynamos under-16s but it wasn’t enough to stop his side losing 3-1 to Woodkirk Valley in the Huddersfield and District Junior Football League.

Dynamos under-13s showed plenty of character to come from behind and see off Penistone 2-1.

Joe Whipday and Alex Milovanovic got on the scoresheet.

The under-12s roared to a 5-0 victory against Saville Town.

A Luke Cornforth brace, Joe Connolly’s goal and an Aaron Rogers penalty made it 4-0 at the break, before Ben Ford put the icing on the cake with a goal in the second half.


CHADDY End under-17s saw off Bury Juniors 3-1 in the Bury and Radcliffe Junior League. Jonathan Buckley, Daniel Brown and Lewis Waterman got the Chaddy goals.

CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-12s were edged out of the East Manchester League divisional plate by Avros 3-2. Warren Howard and Michael Gill found the net.

The under 11s beat Waterloo AFC 6-2 in the divisional plate semi-final. Ryan Flitcroft and Harry Cooper grabbed two apiece, with Jack Noble and Alexander Jenkinson completing the rout.

The final is on May 8 at Curzon Ashton.


BROADWAY Celtic under-12s drew 1-1 with Higher Blackley Rebels in the Manchester Youth League. Tristan Jones scored.

The under-11s beat Pheonix 2-1, Matthew McCormack and Adrian Ashcroft were on target for Celtic.

ROCS under-15s thumped Uppermill 8-0 in the North Manchester Girls League.

Rhema Mears got three, Anna Moorhouse two, Courtney Hunter, Georgia Flynn and Jessica Tonge all scored.


OLDHAM Athletic under-12s beat Failsworth Dynamos 8-0. Tia Jackson hit three, Chloe Pickering and Lauren Fallon two each, and Laura Garlick got one.

Megan Tindall scored five as the under-11s thrashed Delamere Rangers 6-2. Sian Greenwood got the other goal.


HEYSIDE under-16s drew 3-3 with Moston Girls, Jessica Coulman (two) and Abbie Andrews scoring.

The under-14s Blues lost 8-6 to Denton girls. Kayleigh Larkin got four goals and Leoni Harland notched two. The Clarets won 5-2 against Rochdale, with Beth Mellor getting four and Kelly Ward one.

The under-13s thumped Oldham Athletic 5-0. Alix Sephton got a brace, Kinsa Hamami, Tanisha Williams and Jade Hughes also scored.

The under-11s beat Harpurhey Demons 2-0, Ella Rigby and Lavinia Whitehead both scored.
