Oldham’s big test

FOOTBALL: OLDHAM under-14s bid to make progress in the Greater Manchester Schools’ League when they entertain leaders Bolton on Saturday.
The action gets under way at 10.30am.
Victory this weekend would see them cement their current position in fifth place with games against Rochdale, Bury and Wigan remaining.
Oldham’s game against Rochdale was postponed last weekend after Rochdale’s manager was left stranded abroad due to the volcanic ash.
The youngsters, who have endured heavy snowfalls and numerous waterlogged pitches this season, must be wondering what nature will throw at them next.
