Double dream still alive and kicking

FOOTBALL: TAMESIDE and District Junior League champions Chadderton FC under-16s kept alive their dreams of a double when they defeated Mossley 1-0 in the Challenge Cup semi-final.
This close contest went to extra time.
Mossley had a great chance to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty. However, goalkeeper Brad Dowling was up to the task and made a great save.
With a minute to go striker Mike Taylor popped up to score the winner and send Chadderton into their second final of a thrilling campaign.
The under-12s ran riot against Hollingworth in the Tameside and District Junior League.
They won 8-1 courtesy of a Michael Gill hat-trick and further strikes from Ashley Hartley, Liam Hindley, Sean Reading, Ndaba Ndebele and Danny Miller.
IN their final home game of the season, 3D Dynamos went down 4-1.
Danny Laithwaite got the consolation.
However, the under-12s had Joe Connolly and Sam Bagshaw to thank in a 2-1 victory over Gamesley Villa.
Jack Churchill had a good game and provided an assist.
MOSTON Brook under-15s saw off Chaddy End 4-1 courtesy of a Jordan Holt brace and further goals from Tyrell Coley and Devaughn Bridge, in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League.
Moston had most of the play and Holt fully deserved his man of the match award.
However, Moston crashed out of the under-15s League Cup semi-final.
They lost 2-1 to Meanwood. Lewis Hughes got the consolation goal.
In another League Cup semi-final, Chadderton FC Juniors under-13s saw off Shaw Stars 1-0.
It was a tight contest but Louis Gilligan settled the tie in the last minute of normal time when he blasted home a penalty.
CHADDY End under-15s drew 5-5 with Heywood Rangers in the League Cup.
Matty Singleton got two, Callum Mazynczenko, Adam Mullins and an own goal made up the rest, but Heywood won 4-3 on penalties.
The successful penalties for Chaddy were scored by Harry Jackson, Sam Bowles and Anthony Lally.
Heyside Juniors under-15s were beaten 4-3 by Rochdale St. Clements. Jack Warburton got two and Adam Ingham got the other for Heyside.
But they bounced back with a 7-0 defeat of Springhead. Kyle Townsend and Alex Anderson got two apiece. Warburton, Jack Smith and Anthony Moores did the rest.
CHADDY Hoppers Blue under-13s thumped Radcliffe Boro 5-0 with some free-flowing football in the North Bury Junior League.
Daniel Randle helped himself to a hat-trick, with Elliott Moss and Nathan Randle putting the icing on the cake.
They also edged a thrilling encounter with Bury Amateurs 5-4.
Daniel Randle scored twice, Zac Douglas and Moss got one each, and there was also an own goal.
