Kayleigh is goal queen as Blues run riot

YOUTH FOOTBALL:

HEYSIDE Angels Blues under-14s beat Harpurhey 9-2 thanks to five goals from Kayleigh Larkin and four courtesy of Leoni Harland in the North Manchester Girls’ League.

In the same age group the Clarets saw off Chadderton Park 5-1. Beth Mellor scored two, while Kelly Ward, Sarah Hardman and Charlotte Lancaster got the others.

The under-13s were held to a 1-1 draw by Stockport County. Kinsa Hmami found the net for Angels.

The under-12s beat Uppermill 6-0. Ellie Doggett scored a hat-trick, while Jade Hughes, Georgia Lowe and Tanisha Williams put the icing on the cake.


ROCS under-13s bowed out of the League Cup with a 2-0 defeat to Curzon Ashton. They also lost 3-1 to Unicorn Athletic, with Abby Bennett getting the solitary goal.

KELVIN Mupa hit a hat-trick for Chaddy Hoppers under-16s as they saw off Summerseat 4-0 in the North Bury Junior League. 

Peter Carr also scored.

They swept aside Marauder Hawks 11-0. Joe Freeman scored five, while Mupa, Daniel O’Flanagan, James Allen, Shakkier Chowdury, Kyle Latham and Michael McAndrew all netted.

The under-13s lost 2-1 to Walshaw. Jamie Kirby got the goal.

But the sides met again and Chaddy beat them 5-0. Elliot Moss got four and Sam Hall scored the other goal.

They did lose 4-3 to Little Lever, Nathan Randle, Zac Douglas and Kirby scoring.


BROADWAY Celtic under-11s earned a 3-3 draw with Whitworth Park through goals from Matthew McCormack, Shea Roach and Dan Fearnley.

CHADDY End under-16s lost 1-0 at Moston Brook in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League.

The under-15s beat Northside 8-4 thanks to a Sam Bowles brace, goals from Matty Singleton, Jaydn Knox, Harry Jackson, Adam Mullins and Danny Hawthorne on top of an own goal.

They beat Failsworth Dynamos 7-0. Singleton scored three, Knox got two, Callum Mazynczenko got in on the act, and there was an own goal.

KYLE Townsend scored three but Heyside under-15s lost 6-3 to Moston Brook.
