BP boys clinch league place

FOOTBALL: Boundary Park under-16s clinched a place in the Tameside Sunday League Cup final with a 2-0 victory over Swinton Juniors.
A Danny Larkin strike and Mark Roberts’ penalty did the job.
TOM Proctor and Anthony Curran were on target for Chaddy End under-16s, but they were held to a 2-2 draw by Moston Brook.
Zak Porter got two for the under-15s but it wasn’t enough to stop rampant Curzon Ashton, who won 5-2.
DEPLETED ROCS under-15s lost 3-1 to champions Marauders. Luke Bean got the consolation strike.
CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-12s lost an entertaining clash 6-3 against top side Denton Youth in the Tameside and District Junior League.
Ashley Hartley found the net twice, with Ndaba Ndebele getting Chadderton’s other goal.
East Manchester faced Breaks 147 with just nine men and were beaten 3-1, James Larty with the solitary strike.

HEYSIDE Juniors under-10s won the Curzon Ashton FC tournament.
On a day of drama at the Tameside Stadium, Heyside hit back from 1-0 down in the semi-final to beat Marauders 2-1.
The final against AFC Clayton looked set to end as a stalemate until Lewis Dearden struck near the end and, with seconds left on the clock, Jack Dunkerley scored a free kick to make it 2-0.
It’s Heyside’s third title of a memorable campaign.
