FIVE fiercely determined students at Domana Elica Martial Arts Academy achieved dan black belt status at their gradings.
They came through an intense three-hour session of fitness training, kickboxing combinations and techniques picked up over the last four years at the Bright Street venue in Oldham.
Damian Hirons (19), Anabel Terry, (13), 12-year-old Warren Freestone, Dominic Terry, who is 11, and Carl Fitzgerald, (10), passed the stern test with flying colours.
DEMAA stars also did the club proud at a competition in Birmingham.
Hirons clearly won his kickboxing clash comprising three one-and-a-half minute rounds.
And seven-year-old Bobby Terry was runner-up in a close kickboxing bout against a boy two years his senior.
At a show in Rotherham, Hirons claimed two gold medals in kickboxing and Bobby Terry mustered a well-earned silver.
Billy Wiseman (26), took silver in only the third kick jutsu bout of his career. Kick jutsu is a mixture of kickboxing and Ju Jitsu.
