RUGBY:

SADDLEWORTH Rangers under-eights rounded off the season with a thrilling draw at home to Langworthy Reds, both sides registering nine tries.

Brendan Graham scored a hat-trick for Rangers, whose other tries arrived through Robbie Coates (two), Bennett Tupaea (two), Sam Eyres and Kien Molloy.

OLDHAM St Anne's under-11s won 30-6 away at Saddleworth Rangers.

James Barran opened the scoring for the visitors with a try he also goaled, before Saddleworth's Keitel Howarth touched down for an effort that was converted to level.

Saints’ Owen Baldwin side-stepped his way in before half-time, adding the extras for a 12-6 lead.

Four further tries arrived after the break for Saints through Alex France, Jamie Ashton and a pair of long-range efforts from Regan Croft.

Rylands under-nines looked to be well-set for an away win at St Anne's when holding a half-time advantage of five tries to two.

Max Flanagan and Asa France were the only two boys to register for Saints in the first half — but after the break, the home team scored seven more times to sneak a thriller by nine tries to eight.

Ethan Chiappe (three), Danny Fish (two), France and Alfie Baldwin grabbed the other tries.

St Anne’s under-eights lost 10-two at Halton.

Daniel Nixon scored both Saints' tries to leave the team with an overall record of six wins in 11 games in 2010, while Michael Cashin was boy of the match.
