House heroes enjoy field trip

CROMPTON House dominated the Oldham Schools’ Championships field events at Hunt Lane, Chadderton, winning the boys’ and girls’ competitions.
In the boys’ category, they notched nine individual wins, amassing 79 points.
House clinched the Year Eight and Year 10 titles.

North Chadderton took the Year Seven gong and Hathershaw topped Year Nine.
Hulme trailed Crompton House by 22 points. Our Lady’s came third.
RESULT: Crompton House 79, Hulme 57, Our Lady’s 51, South Chadderton/Blue Coat 44, Saddleworth 41, Radclyffe 36, Hathershaw 34, Royton and Crompton 32, Failsworth 28, North Chadderton 24, Counthill 21, St Augustine’s 10, Kaskenmoor 4.
IN the girls’ event, Crompton House won the Year Seven and Year Nine titles, and finished joint top of the Year Eight section with Hulme, while Our Lady’s took the Year 10 glory.
House finished 10 points clear of Hulme and Our Lady’s.
RESULT: Crompton House 73, Hulme/Our Lady’s 63, South Chadderton 54, Saddleworth 48, Blue Coat 28, North Chadderton 24, Radclyffe 21, Royton and Crompton 20, Hathershaw 13, Kaskenmoor 5, Counthill 2.
