ALEX Peters will lead out the Saddleworth and District Cricket League under-18s side in their second group match in the Colts competition on Sunday.
The Greenfield all-rounder will be plotting the downfall of the Lancashire County League at Saddleworth CC (start 1.30pm).
Peters is one of four players from Ladhill Lane in the 12, the others being Adam Hayes, Chris Gill and Michael Bird.
The Saddleworth League’s first match in the Inter-League competition, away to their counterparts from the Ribblesdale League, was washed out.
Squad: A Peters (capt), A Hayes, C Gill (wkt), M Bird (all Greenfield), S Taylor, B Hadfield (Saddleworth), J Malloy, A Sunderland, J Stanton (Austerlands), M Jones (Stayley), J Wilson (Bamford Fieldhouse), Aaron Barnes (Moorside).
UPPERMILL are off the mark in the under-17s division after a nail-biting victory over Bamford Fieldhouse.
Chasing 135 to win — Mark Lonegan retired on 50 for Bamford — the lads from Leefields reached their goal with one ball to spare. Elliot Holland made 53.
Austerlands still set the pace after a narrow six-run win over Friarmere, who were restricted to 88 for eight in reply to 94 for five.
Milnrow climbed to second place in the table after defeating Shaw (110 all out) by 11 runs.
Stayley were too good for Moorside, the Millbrook teenagers winning by a nine-wicket margin.
Scores —
Austerlands 94-5, Friarmere 88-8; Milnrow 121-6, Shaw 110; Moorside 100-9, Stayley 101-1; Bamford Fieldhouse 134-3, Uppermill 138-4.
