ROCS rock to silverware success

ON PARADE: Teams and officials from ROCS FC show off their silverware from a successful season in the North Manchester Girls League and Tameside Sunday League.
FOOTBALL:
ROCS FC can reflect on a season of trophy glory.
The under-15s were crowned North Manchester Girls League champions and also lifted the Knockout Cup, but they missed out on the treble by finishing runners-up in the League Cup.
The club’s under-16s picked up the League Cup and the Martin Harding Fair Play Cup. They lost in the final of the Knockout Cup and were second in the league.
On the individual front, young hot-shot Abby Bennett, who scored 35 goals,
was the player of the season in the under-13 division.
For the boys, Luke Bean collected the ‘Golden Boot’ award for being the leading scorer in the Tameside Sunday League under-15s division, also with 35 goals. He helped his team to second place.
ROCS are on the look-out for new players in the under-16s boys’ team and all age groups for the girls.
