FOOTBALL: TO celebrate their first anniversary, Santos Soccer School are holding an open day on Saturday.
It will be staged at Clayton playing fields (noon to 2pm), where four to seven-year-olds can take part in coaching sessions.
A family fun event will follow at Greyhound Inn, Royton.
“We ran a similar event last year to promote the opening of Santos Soccer School and it was a big success,” said head coach Gareth Smith.
“The children really enjoyed the coaching session last year. Chaddy Owl was present and he will be appearing again.”
In addition to a coaching session, there will also be a football skills exercise organised by Oldham Athletic.
Children need to bring appropriate outside clothing, footwear and shinpads if available.
