School sides teach opponents a lesson

CRICKET: THORP Primary School bowled over their rivals by winning the Asda Kwik cricket tournament at Royton.
And there was joy for Greenfield Primary School, who taught all their opponents a lesson by winning the competition at Austerlands. They followed it up with victory in the district final at Glodwick.
Greenfield represented Oldham at the county finals at West Houghton and saw off every challenge, emerging as county winners.
The regional final saw Greenfield youngsters represent Lancashire and, after losing one, drawing one and winning two, they finished third in the group and fifth overall in the North-West.
