Walker seals national glory

HANDBALL: ROYTON and Crompton School’s Year 10 handball team clinched the English Handball Association under-15 Championship.
They equalised against Tarpoley High School in the last minute before Josh Walker’s extra-time winner.
Jamal Braithwaite of Year 10 and Year 11 student Stefan Whaley have just returned from representing England under-16 boys in the Partille Cup in Sweden, where the side won two games.
Whaley achieved the highest score of 13.2 in the squad’s fitness test.
