THERE’S nothing like living life to the maximum and that’s exactly what these boys have been doing.
Friezland School boys' swimming team didn’t just take Saddleworth Primary Schools’ Swimming League by storm.
The side, comprising Robert Clark (10), Jonathan Marsden, Nathan Roebuck and Oliver Broadbent (all nine), also gained maximum points along the way.
Competing in front crawl, breaststroke, backstroke and finally a relay, they bagged 35 points at Saddleworth Baths by winning every race.
Fay Hodgson, PE Co-ordinator at Friezland School, said: “It’s fantastic news, we don’t get many trophies at this little school of ours!
“I had a feeling they would do well. The team is very strong, some of them are members of Saddleworth Swimming Club.
“To win it with maximum points is obviously a brilliant achievement for the boys.”
