SNOOKER star Aaron Davies (right) is chalking up for the biggest day of his short career.
The Royton youngster (13), who plays at the Ebbro Snooker Academy in his home town, has been selected to represent England under-14s against Scotland at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds on Friday.
Proud dad Mark said: “He has shown a lot of good form in recent performances which have caught the eye.
“He has won a few Pontins competitions along the way.
“The interest started last year when he made it through to the English Junior Championships semi-finals. That’s what probably inspired his selection more than anything else.
“When he steps out at the Northern Snooker Centre it will be one of the biggest moments of my life, let alone his!”
Aaron (pictured, right) picked up a cue for the first time when he was nine and has never looked back.
Mark added: “He loves the sport and it’s fantastic to see him doing so well.
“Hopefully he can go to Leeds and give a good account of himself.”
