Four-goal Fielding inspires Uppermill

FOOTBALL: UPPERMILL under-17s roared to an 8-0 win over Netherton in the Huddersfield and District Junior League.

Elliot Fielding scored four, James Jowle got three and Luke Butler grabbed the other.

The under-16s won 3-0 at Ossett Town through Laurie England’s brace and a Luke Cosgrove goal.

And the under-12s beat Netherton 11-0. Nick Tararozzi notched five, Sam Carr hit a hat-trick, and there was one each from Joe Townsend, Kurt Bennett and Tom Andrew.


SAM Bagshaw struck three times for 3D Dynamos under-13s in a 6-4 triumph at the expense of Honley.

Rylan Dickenson scored twice and Richard Kye got the other goal.


HEYSIDE Juniors under-14s beat Ashton United 6-1 thanks to braces from Adam Constable and Hayden Clarke and further strikes courtesy of James Mellor and Matty Golding.
Connor Green was on target as Heyside’s under-13s drew 1-1 with Clayton Villa.

Heyside Junior Blues under-12s brushed aside Failsworth West Lions with a 6-0 win.

Owen Shaughnessy and Jack Woodhead got two each, with Connah Evans and Matthew Brogden got the other goals.


WILLIAM Wright scored a consolation goal for 3D Dynamos under-11s, as they went down to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester Tigers.


CHADDERTON FC Youth earned a 9-0 victory over Sporting Media in the Manchester Youth League.

Liam Wilson, Mike Taylor and Jack Turnbull all notched two goals each.

Ryan Muff, Alex Kelly and Hayden McNally also found the net.


WILL Revill and Jack Brocklehurst both scored twice for 3D Dynamos under-14s in the thrilling 6-3 win over Brandleshome Warriors in the North Bury League.

Josh Lindsay and Danny Laithwaite did the rest of the damage.


MATTHEW McCormack scored a hat-trick as Broadway Celtic under-12s beat Seedfield 7-4.

Ross Doolan bagged a brace, while Adrian Ashcroft and Dan Fearnley also got on the scoresheet.


CHADDERTON Park under-11s lost 4-1 to Prestwich Mauraders, Logan Wolstenholme getting the consolation goal.

PHOENIX Athletic under-12s saw off Shawclough 6-2 in the Bowlee League courtesy of a Jack O’Neil treble, a Max Campbell-Starling brace, and a goal from Ben Hamlin.


LILY Prince scored three times for Heyside Angels in the 8-4 win over Altrincham Ladies.
Emma Harte and Katie Jones got two apiece.

Lucy Shaylor completed the rout for Heyside.



BROADWAY Celtic under-17s beat the club’s under-18s 2-1 in the Bury and Radcliffe District League and saw off North Bury 5-0.

Callum Lambert and Sam Wardle scored. A Jack Molloy brace and goals from Mahidul Islam, Jack Schofield and Lambert saw off North Bury.Jones is Park’s predator


CHADDERTON Park under-13s roared to a 10-0 victory over Healey Rangers in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League.

Luke Jones scored five, Tristan Jones and Oli Radcliffe got two each, while Joe Laycock completed the scoring.

Park’s under-11s lost 11-5 to Rochdale St Clements.


MATTY Singleton and Michael Beresford scored two goals each as Chaddy End under-16s won 5-0 at Heyside Juniors. Jack Griffin completed the scoring.

Chaddy were, however, beaten 1-0 at home to Boundary Park.

Fothergill Falcons beat Phoenix Athletic under-13s 9-2, with Brendan Cocker and Cameron Reavey scoring for Athletic.

HEYSIDE Juniors under-16s lost 4-2 to Hopwood Lads.

Jacon Valentine and Kyle Townsend got on the scoresheet for Heyside, who also went down to a 6-4 defeat against Northside.

Matthew Toop got two, and Jordan Holt and Jack Warburton were the marksmen.



OLDHAM under-15s made a winning start to their Greater Manchester Schools’ League campaign with a narrow 3-2 victory against Salford at Broughton.

Brad Lydiate gave Salford the lead five minutes after the interval.

Oldham were back on level terms within a minute through Tom Scullion (Failsworth) before edging ahead thanks to Joe Boulter (Saddleworth).

Hayden Foulds equalised for Salford with just four minutes left on the clock.

But Regan Walker (Waterhead Academy) won it with a 35-yard screamer.



JACK Kenyon scored five in Failsworth Town under-14s’ 8-1 win over Boundary Park ‘A’ in the Tameside Sunday League.
Kyle Hall, Conah Lewis and Cameron Thorpe got the others.

And Town’s under-15s won 4-1 at East Levenshulme courtesy of a Tom Scullion brace and further efforts from Kane Hughes and Kevin Cook.


CHADDY End under-19s lost 4-2 to Manchester Gregorians, with Lewis Waterman scoring a brace.

Tom Heap scored for Chaddy under-16s but they still lost 4-1 to Curzon Ashton. However, they did manage a 1-1 draw with ROCS, thanks to a Sam Clarke strike. Luke Bean scored for ROCS.

The ROCS under-16 side lost 4-3 at Glossop North End, with Bean, Ellis Hallwood and Jack Prince on target.

Chaddy under-14s lost 3-1 to Chadderton. Tom Maloney got the goal. They also lost 4-2 to Avro, with Charlie Burton and Ryan Mason finding the net.

Chaddy under-12s were beaten 3-1 by Ardwick. Jordan Hardman got on the scoresheet.



JACK Johnson scored two and made the other for Hayden Clarke as Crompton Villa under-14s won 3-0 at Middleton Lads.


CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-13s went down to a 3-2 defeat to Failsworth West. Michael Gill and Jack Hoyle found the net, who also beat Broadway Celtic 8-0.

Ashley Hartley scored twice, with further goals coming from Michael Gill, Liam Hindley, Darius Worsley, Danny Miller, James Larty and Sam Coleman.

A 7-2 victory at the expense of 3D Dynamos followed.Ashley Hartley got two, and Gill, Larty, Hindley, Hoyle and Simon Winkley scored.


RYAN Booth scored a brace but Broadway Celtic under-13s slipped to a 3-2 defeat to Dukinfield Tigers.



BOUNDARY Park under-17s lost 5-4 to Ladybridge Rangers despite a Danny Noble hat-trick and a Liam Hughes effort.

Park’s under-15s won 4-0 against Hindley Town. James Ross, Danny Gilmartin, Chris Backhouse and Declan Tighe all scored.



HEYSIDE Juniors under-12s lost 6-3 to Moston Valley, Callum Henrick, Corey Pearson and Owain Jones getting the goals.

But they beat Moston Brook 5-2 through a Pearson hat-trick and efforts from Hendrick and Jones.

This was followed by an 8-1 triumph over Northside. Joe Maw got three, Kade Howarth a brace, with goals from Tre Tayo-Farrell, Jack Altamis and Jack Wallace.

A Jordan McLoughlin hat-trick, two goals each from Jordan Slattery and Bradley Legge, and a Josh Park strike earned an 8-2 win over Hollingworth Junior Blues.
