Coach praises his Saddleworth finalists

Cricket: THE Saddleworth League under-13 team lost in the final of the Peak Trophy against Derby and Cheshire League at Hawk Green.
Saddleworth scored 119 for nine off 35 overs. Three were caught, three stumped, two run out and one trapped LBW.
Lewis Newton-Price and James Holt gave the team a steady start, Alex Willis top-scoring with 24 runs in the middle order.
Saddleworth had their opponents at 60 for five, including four clean bowled, but Derby and Cheshire recovered to win the game without losing another wicket.
Liam Jump starred with the ball, taking two wickets for 23 runs.
Saddleworth coach Paul Beal was delighted with the team’s performance in his last match in charge and the behaviour they displayed throughout the encounter.
