Rangers roar to victory

RUGBY: SADDLEWORTH Rangers under-13s beat Pilkington Recs 26-6 in the North-West Counties Development Cup quarter-final.
Reece Travis gave Rangers the lead.
Pilkington replied swiftly, before Tom Brisk crossed, with Tom Jowle converting.
Sam Ireland went over and Archie Taylor capped a fine team move. Tom Jowle added the extras.
Harry Aaronson crossed at the end, to complete the scoring.
The under-10s drew 4-4 at Widnes West Bank.
Jack Harrison Brown, Elijah Wolstenholme, Josh Yarwood and Bradley Jinks touched down.
The under-nines defeated Wigan St Cuthberts 6-3 through a Robbie Coates hat-trick and furthr tries from Daniel Tromans, Josh Wood and Kien Molloy.
OLDHAM St Anne’s under-12s were beaten 16-12 by Orrell St James in the Lancashire Cup.
James Barran got two tries and Brandon Sanderson added another for Saints.
The under-11s beat Westhoughton 22-10.
Rob Charles scored twice, with Adam Goodwin and Sean Cosgrove joining him on the scoresheet.
Lewis Hallett, Aaron Minton and Matt Smith added the extras.
Despite leading through a converted Thomas Barnes try, the under-10s conceded late on against Wigan St Cuthberts, as the game finished 6-6.
The under-nines went down to a 7-3 defeat at the hands of Blackbrook.
Michael Cashin, Daniel Nixon and Sam Thackeray got the tries.
