Spot-on Armitage rescues Dynamos

FOOTBALL: BRADLEY Armitage was the star of the show for 3D Dynamos under-14s after he saved three penalties in a shoot-out against Seedfield Poly in the North Bury League Cup.

The game finished 1-1 after extra time, with Lewis Wood on target for Dynamos.

Wood, Jack Brocklehurst and Danny Laithwaite all found the net from the spot to seal the win.



CHADDERTON Park under-14s edged out North Walkden 3-2.

Matty Nichols pounced twice for Park, for whom Ben Kelly also scored.

The under-11s drew 3-3 with Barrhill Diamonds thanks to goals from Adam Thompson, Joe Ray and Lucas Kavanagh.



SPRINGHEAD under-11s swept aside Higher Blackley Rebels 7-0 in the League Cup first round.

Ryan Mason posted two goals. He was joined on the scoresheet by Callum Harris, Jack Bradbury, Josh Allen and Michael Patterson.



OLDHAM Rangers under-11s beat Pennine Juniors Red 2-1 after extra time to progress in the League Cup. Ethan Cadd got both goals for Rangers.



GOALKEEPER Jordan Brown scored a penalty for Failsworth Town under-15s in a 7-0 victory over Heyside Juniors in the Tameside Sunday League.

A Kane Hughes treble, and further strikes from Mikey Dean and Tom Scullion, completed the scoring.

The under-14s defeated Dukinfield Tigers 6-0.

Cameron Thorpe recorded a hat-trick and was joined on the scoresheet by Nathan Bailey, who pounced twice, and Ben McGrath.

Jack Hoyle, Ashley Hartley and James Larty scored for Chadderton FC Juniors under-13s in a 6-3 defeat to Moston Juniors.



ROCS under-16s surrendered a three-goal half time lead to lose 5-4 to Unsworth.

Luke Bean, David Clegg, David Fagan and Eamon Dawson scored for ROCS.



OLIVER Cleworth scored twice in Chaddy End under-14s’ 3-0 win at Walshaw Sports. Charlie Burton was also on target.

The under-12s lost 3-1 to Boundary Park. JJ Fraay got the consolation goal.



HEYSIDE Juniors under-13s lost 3-1 to Alkrington Dynamos. Aiden Pass got the consolation goal.



COREY Pearson and Owain Jones found the net for the under-12s in their

2-2 draw with Hattersley.

They also drew 2-2 with Delamere Rangers, with efforts from Tre Tayo Farrell and Conor Henley.



HARRY Thorpe recorded a hat-trick as Boundary Park Juniors under-11s defeated Manchester Maccabi 3-1.



A TOUGH away day saw 3D Dynamos under-14s go down to a 2-0 defeat at Gomersal, despite putting in plenty of effort in the Huddersfield and District Junior League clash.



CHADDY End under-11s were beaten 1-0 by Boundary Park in the Manchester Youth and Mini-Soccer League, with Christian Walker grabbing the winner.

They also went down to a 10-1 defeat at the hands of Failsworth West.

Tom Bartlett notched the consolation goal.



HEYSIDE Juniors under-11s defeated AFC Clayton 5-2.

Jack Cocker bagged a brace for Heyside, while there were further strikes from Kai Whitney, Sam O’Donnell and Adam Simpson.




Cooke bags two



HEYSIDE Angels under-16s saw off Moston Juniors 4-2 in the North Manchester Girls’ League, thanks to two Jess Cooke efforts and one apiece from Elysia Broome and Katie Jones.



The Clarets under-15s beat Chadderton Park under-15s 8-1.

Taomi Hawksworth scored four, Kelly Ward got a hat-trick, and Shannon Ryan bagged the other goal.

Angels Blues under-15s defeated Oldham Athletic

6-1 through a Danielle Partington treble, a Leoni Harland brace and a further Paige Rowland strike.

In the County Cup, the under-14s swept aside Unicorn Athletic 10-1.

Leoni Harland hit four, Ellie Doggett grabbed two, and there was one each from Jade Hughes, Alicia Stretton, Ella Milovanovic and Natalie Gregory.

The under-13s drew 0-0 with Middleton.

Katie Halligan scored twice for the under-11s in a 6-0 win over Moston Brook.

Emily Kay, Beth Boothroyd, Ashlin Miller and Robyn Hartley were also on target.



OLDHAM Athletic under-15s lost 6-1 to Heyside Angels Inter. Feiruz Abdullah got the consolation.

The under-12s were beaten 4-0 by AFC Manchester.



RHEMA Mears’ hat-trick put ROCS under-15s on the way to a 5-1 win at the expense of Uppermill.

Megan Jackson added two.

Sam Bickerstaffe was on target for the under-14s, but they exited the County Cup after a 2-1 loss to Manchester City.
