Two for Taiwo in Oldham triumph

FOOTBALL: AFC Oldham under-14s got the better of Brendan Bees with a 5-1 triumph in the Tameside and District Junior League.

Emanuel Taiwo struck twice, while Curtis Norris, Jack Howarth and Jack Brooks were also on the mark.


LUKE Jones bagged a hat-trick in Chadderton under-13s’ 3-2 win over Medlock Rangers.
The under-12s Reds extended their lead at the top of the table with a 7-1 success at the expense of Haughton Rangers. Kade Howarth mustered a hat-trick in the comprehensive victory.


JAYDN Knox and Danny Cooper strikes handed Chaddy End under-16s a 2-1 win at Wythenshawe Town in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League. CAMERON Reavey and Bradley Gordon scored two goals apiece in Phoenix Athletic under-13s’ 5-3 victory over Healey Rangers. Elliot Conner also netted.
Failsworth Town under-14s lost 10-1 to Barrhill Boys in the Manchester Youth and Mini-Soccer League Cup, with Cameron Thorpe getting the consolation goal.


OLDHAM under-15s are through to the last 32 of the ESFA Inter-Association Trophy following a 2-1 win at Leeds, after extra time. Ben Turner (North Chadderton) got both goals for the visitors, who will take on York in the fourth round, on or before December 4.



HAT-TRICKS from Oliver Sturge and William Wright put 3D Dynamos under-11s on their way to an 11-0 defeat of Denton Youth in the East Manchester Junior League.
Scott Moloney and Flynn Bradley added braces, and Sol Pegler also got in on the act.


ROCS under-16s dug in for a 1-0 defeat of Uppermill in the North Manchester Girls’ League.
Shona Ninian got the winner for Rocs.

The under-14s beat their Uppermill counterparts 5-0 after a brace each from Abby Bennett and Leah Bickerstaffe, and a Samantha Bickerstaffe effort.



HEYSIDE Angels under-14s saw off Ashton Pumas 4-2 thanks to an Alix Sephton double and further strikes from Hayley Tomlinson and Ashleigh Dickenson.
The under-13s Inter defeated Middleton Girls 4-0 courtesy of an Ellie Doggett hat-trick and a Tanisha Williams effort.

The under-13s Clarets beat Failsworth Dynamos 4-1, with Alicia Stretton netting three times and Ashleigh Wylie completing the rout.

Antonia Keogh got both goals for the under-12s in their 2-1 victory over Failsworth Dynamos.

The under-11s defeated Denton Lions 5-0.

Strikes from Beth Boothroyd, Ashlin Miller, Katie Halligan, Rachael Pollinger and Robyn Hartley earned the comprehensive win.
