Rangers back with stylish win

RUGBY: FOLLOWING an extended lay-off imposed by the cold snap, Saddleworth Rangers under-13s travelled to Warrington for an entertaining encounter against a strong Crossfields side, and won 24-12.
Captain Jacob Ford put Rangers in front after a jinking run, following good work by Ali Hassan.
Excellent defending by Reece Travis and Lewis Adams helped the visitors defend well for the next half-hour.
Hassan extended the advantage after receiving a pass from Ford and forcing his way over the line.
And Hassan touched down again just before the interval, crossing in exactly the same place following a fine Tom Brisk delivery.
The hosts fought back after the break with two quickfire tries.
But Rangers weathered the storm. Travis crossed with five minutes remaining, before man-of-the-match Nathan Knowles completed the scoring for Rangers with his fourth conversion of the day.
