Chaddy spot-on in cup clash

YOUTH FOOTBALL:

CHADDY End under-16s beat Reddish Vulcans 5-4 on penalties in the Manchester County Cup third round, following a 2-2 draw at the end of extra-time.

Michael Berrisford and Scott McBride were on target for Chaddy.

The penalties were scored by Jaydn Knox, Danny Cooper, Matthew Singleton, Anthony Lally and Berrisford.


BROADWAY Celtic under-12s earned a 5-3 victory over Whitworth Valley in the North Bury League.

Adrian Ashcroft and Matthew McCormack got two goals apiece, and Ben Jackson added one.


CHADDY End under-11s suffered a 6-0 reverse at the hands of AFC Clayton in the Manchester Youth and Mini-Soccer League.

oHeyside Juniors under-16s lost 3-1 to Stockport Vikings.

The under-11s swept aside Moston Junior Blues 6-1 courtesy of a Sam O’Donnell double and strikes from Jack Dunkerley, Adam Dunkerley, Will McFall and Lewis Berry.

KIAN Stewart hit five goals as 3D Dynamos under-11s beat Marple Athletic 8-0.


CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-13s remain top of the table in the Tameside and District Junior League following a 2-2 draw with Denton Phoenix.

Michael Gill and Luke Jones were on the mark for Chadderton.


JOE Fagan scored a hat-trick and Oliver Depetrillo bagged a brace as Heyside Juniors under-13s beat Reddish 5-0. The under-12s Blues tamed Failsworth West Lions with a 4-1 win.

Jack Woodhead was at the double, and was joined on the scoresheet by Kyle Robinson and Matthew Brogden.


FAILSWORTH Town under-14s saw off Ashton All Stars 14-0 in the Tameside Sunday League.

Cameron Thorpe struck four times, Ethan Bailey bagged a hat-trick, Ryan Johnston posted a brace, while Anthony Farrell, Jack Newman, Kyle Hall, Jack Kenyon and Connah Lewis all got one each.

oChadderton FC Juniors under-13s went down to a 7-1 loss to Higher Blackley Rebels.

Sean Reading was on the mark for Chadderton.


ROCS under-16s were defeated 5-1 by Stalybridge Celtic. Scott Reeves got the consolation goal.


SAM Quinlan pounced twice for Chaddy End under-16s, but they went down to a 3-2 loss against West End.


CHADDERTON Park under-11s Lions lost 5-2 to Northside.

Josef Rimmer and Milo Garratt-Simpson scored the consolation goals.

Chadderton Park under-11s Eagles also suffered defeat, in a 5-4 loss to Oldham Rangers.

Joe Wilson, Joe Ray, Arron Orchard and Alex Knight netted for Park.



UPPERMILL under-16s earned a 3-0 win at Darton Crowns thanks to a Jake Kershaw double, and an Ellis Hallwood strike. The under-13s saw off Oxspring 3-2 Sean Bergin, Ben Pullen and Tom Bradman were on the mark for Uppermill.



ROCS under-14s swept aside Uppermill 8-0 in the North Manchester Girls’ League.

Four goals from Leah Bickerstaffe, an Alys Wild double, and further strikes from Kirsty Barnett and Ashleigh Spragg did the job.



Oldham Athletic under-16s were beaten 5-2 by Heyside Angels. Dionne McLeod scored both goals for Oldham. The under-15s lost 5-1 to Rochdale, and the under-12s suffered a 7-0 defeat at the hands of AFC Manchester.



HEYSIDE Angels Clarets under-13s defeated Dukinfield Youth 2-1 thanks to goals from Alicia Stretton and Sian Brady. Angels Inter under-13s beat Bury Girls 10-1.

Tanisha Williams got four goals, Ellie Doggett added two, and there were further strikes from Caitlin Senior, Tia Jackson, Mia Holden and Jade Hughes.

Angels Blues under-15s beat Angels Clarets 3-1, with Leoni Harland grabbing a brace and Phoebe Dunne adding a goal for the winners. Abbie Porter replied.

Under-14s Angels edged out Chadderton Park 1-0 through an Ella Milovanovic effort.

Beth Boothroyd and Katie Halligan got two goals apiece as the under-11s Angels got the better of Failsworth Villa 4-0.
