SWIMMING star Alex Crossland-Robins made it a perfect 10 on his Central Lancashire Preliminary Gala debut.
A superb haul of 10 gold medals and personal bests earned Alex (11) the right to represent the county in May at the North-West Inter-Association Finals.
The gala was held over two weekends at Broughton baths in Salford.
Representing Royton Swimming Club, Alex was first in freestyle (50 metres, 200m, 400m), backstroke (50m, 200m), breaststroke (50m, 200m), butterfly (50m, 200m) and individual medley (200m).
Royton picked up a shield for the best-performing participants between the ages of nine and 10.
Proud dad Dave said: “Alex was determined to make his mark in this competition because last year he was just too young to compete.
“We are proud of him for performing so well, and he is naturally delighted to have won 10 gold medals.”
Alex’s finishing times — all personal bests — were as follows:
50m Freestyle 33.91; 200m Freestyle 2:37.29; 400m freestyle 5:29.54; 50m backstroke 38.28; 200m backstroke 2:48.53; 50m breaststroke 45.96 secs; 200m breaststroke 3:31.76; 50m butterfly 36.50; 200m butterfly 3:06.71; 200m individual medley 2:54.24.
