Under-16s cruise to easy success

NETBALL: OLDHAM under-16s netball team raced to a 55-29 triumph over Didsbury at Wilmslow High School.
The win ensured they kept their place at the top of the table.
A good start saw Oldham end the first quarter with a 12-5 lead.
The defence of Ashleigh Cruse, Charlotte Stafford and Ashley Stansfield set the tone with some key turnover and tight marking.
Oldham enjoyed a 26-11 lead at half-time, and extended the advantage to 41-21 by the end of the third quarter.
Their opponents managed just eight more points and rarely posed a serious threat.
