RUGBY: OLDHAM St Anne’s under-13s have set up a potential Division One title decider against Folly Lane. Saints beat Leigh Miners 16-8 courtesy of tries from Patrick Casey, Jacob Foley and Brad Burgess, with a conversion from Oliver Russell.
They face Folly Lane on Sunday. Should Lane win, they will be crowned champions.
But a Saints victory, followed by wins in their final three games, would see the Oldham side take the title.
James Barran opened the scoring early on, only for Clockface to hit back with three unanswered touch downs, two of which were converted.
Barran added a second and also goaled before the break.
He completed his hat-trick after the interval before Regan Croft mustered two.
The hosts edged in front, but a late Barran drop goal clinched victory.
SADDLEWORTH Rangers under-15s earned a 20-14 triumph over Widnes St Maries.
A quiet first half saw both sides score a try each, Ben Eardley doing the honours for Rangers.
Jorden Buin, Bowden Morgan and Jack Johnson followed suit for the Saddleworth outfit, with Bradley Grantmyre converting twice. St Maries rallied with two touch downs and one conversion.
Victory against Widnes Moorfield will give Saddlworth promotion.
WATERHEAD under-12s beat Golborne 18-12. Tries came courtesy of Declan Slicker, Ben Mort, Brad Wells and Tom Houraghan. Liam Aspin added a goal.
