FOOTBALL:
HEYSIDE Juniors saw off Moston Reds 7-1 in the Manchester Youth and Mini-Soccer League, as Jack Dunkerley led the way with two.
Lewis Berry, Will McFaul, Kai Whitney, Lewis Dearden and Sulaiman Sajjad also scored.
Heyside Junior Blues defeated Moston Valley 2-1 in the same age group courtesy of a Joshua
Daubney-Buckley double.
CHADDY End under-16s swept aside Rochdale St Clements 7-0. Scott McBride and Matthew Singleton scored two goals apiece.
Also on the mark were Callum Maznyczenko and Danny Gallagher, while Rochdale also conceded an own goal.
MATTHEW Toop, Jordan Holt and Jordan Cooper netted in Heyside Juniors under-16s’ 3-1 win against Northside.
OLDHAM under-15s have turned their attention to the North-West Alder Owen Trophy after missing out on the Greater Manchester Schools’ League title.
Bolton’s victory at the weekend means they are almost certian to take top spot, although Warrington can still catch them.
It means Oldham, whose title bid was thwarted by defeat to Macclesfield last time out, have only one chance of obtaining silverware this season.
They face Warrington at home in the first round, with the winners taking on either Hyndburn or Trafford.
ROCS finish in top spot
ROCS under-14s won the North Manchester Girls’ League title despite losing 4-2 against Heyside Angels Clarets — their first defeat of the season.
Abby Bennett struck twice for ROCS, but an Ella Milovanovic hat-trick and an Alix Sephton strike sealed the win.
ROCS under-16s finished their league campaign with a 9-1 victory over Heyside Angels Clarets.
Lauren Steel notched four goals, Megan Jackson
produced a hat-trick, while Courtney Hunter and Angela Fox also netted.
CHADDERTON Park under-11s drew 1-1 with Denton Girls Tigers.
OLDHAM Athletic under-15s saw off Rochdale FC 7-1 thanks in no small part to five goals from Feiruz Abdullahi.
Emily Vale and Chloe Austin also got in on the act.
HEYSIDE Angels Clarets lost 2-1 to Uppermill, with Kelly Ward getting the
consolation goal. They were also beaten 4-3 by Denton Girls, despite a Leoni Harland treble.
The under-14s Angels also saw off Droylsden 8-0 through Milovanovic and Sephton
doubles, and goals from Byrony Bolton, Kinsa Hmami, Phoebe Dunne and Harland.
The under-13s Angels Inter swept aside Middleton Athletic 11-1 thanks to a Caitlin Senior treble, braces from Georgia Clarke, Tia Jackson and Mia Holden, and strikes courtesy of Jade Hughes and Tanisha Williams.
Alicia Stretton netted for the Angels Clarets, but they were defeated 3-1 by Middleton Girls.
The under-11s lost 3-0 to Moston Brook.
Joe inspires Dynamos
JOE Connolly bagged a brace for 3D Dynamos under-13s in their 3-1 defeat of Almondbury Lions in the Huddersfield and District League. Aaron Rogers also scored.
They also enjoyed a 13-3 win against Battyeford, with Ben Ford scoring three times and Rylan Dickenson, Tom Gallagher and Harry Lavin getting two goals apiece.
Tom Ireson, Sam Bagshaw, Bradley McvEvoy and Tom McClusky also netted.
BROADWAY Celtic under-14s roared through to the Tameside and District Junior League Cup final after a 6-2 win against Moston Valley.
Zach Gemmill and Adam Czacow both bagged braces, with Ben Claydon and Luke Doolan completing the rout.
Celtic face Hollinwood in the final at Ashton United, on April 17. Daniel Anderson struck twice and Adam Smith also scored for Celtic’s under-13s, but they were beaten 6-3 by Dukinfield Tigers.
LUKE Jones got two goals for Chadderton Juniors under-13s in their 5-3 win over Hollingworth ‘A’.
Also on the mark were James Larty, Julius Chike and Jack Garside.
REECE Shearer scored all four goals as Avro under-14s defeated Moston Juniors 4-0, to set up a Challenge Cup final against Moston Juniors at Ashton United on April 19.
HEYSIDE Juniors under-13s beat AFC Oldham 6-3 thanks to five Matty Golding goals and an Adam Constable effort.
