Heyside bask in unbeaten run

FOOTBALL: HEYSIDE Juniors under-11s have done it again.
For the second time in three-and-half-years together, the boys team have gone more than 12 months without losing a game.
They brought up the milestone with an emphatic 6-0 win over Whitworth Park. Adam Dunkerley (two), Jack Dunkerley, Sam O’Donnell, Jack Cocker and Lewis Dearden got the goals.
Manager Kevin Dunkerley said: “It's an incredible achievement from a very special group.
“At this age it should never be all about winning, but try telling that to our players!
“They want to push themselves to win each and every game. Our team is packed with very special players and characters who continue to flourish.”
Heyside, who meet Prosport Strikers, are riding in the Manchester Youth and Mini-Soccer League.
OWEN Shaughnessy is in red-hot form for Heyside Junior Blues under-12s in the Tameside and District Junior League.
He scored twice in the 3-3 draw against Failsworth Dynamos — Kyle Robinson got the other goals — and he bagged another double in the 5-3 success over Mossley Juniors. Kyle Robinson (two) and George Riley were the other Heyside goal-getters.
A HAT-TRICK from Michael Beresford, plus goals from Jaydn Knox and Matthew Singleton, clinched a 5-3 win for Chaddy End FC under-16s over local rivals Boundary Park Juniors.
o GOALS from Luke Graham and Jordan Cooper were in vain as Heyside Juniors under-16s were beaten 3-2 by Rochdale St Clements.
A TREBLE from Josh Croll, plus other efforts from Tyrell Denny and Josh O’Donnell, secured an impressive 5-2 win for Oldham Rangers under-14s Reds over Roach Dynamos in the North Bury Junior League.
Liam Eadsworth, O’Donnell and Denny were on target in the reverse fixture, which ended 3-1 in Rangers’ favour.
CAMERON Kovac of Boundary Park Juniors under-11s had two reasons to celebrate after a pulsating Tameside Sunday League game against Curzon Ashton.
Kovac completed a superb hat-trick with a last-minute diving header, which also sealed a 4-4 draw for his side. Lewis Derbyshire was also on target for Boundary Park.
ETHAN Bailey grabbed both goals as Failsworth Town under-14s overcame Dukinfield Tigers 2-1.
The club’s under-15s, thanks to Tom Scullion (two), Cole Simister, Kane Hughes, Ben Rathbone and Jordan Mortimer, swept aside Brendon Bees 6-2.
CHADDY End FC under-16s, who could only field nine players, defeated Denton 1-0 thanks to a goal from Joe Burgoyne.
But efforts from Robbie Wilkinson and Adam Birtwistle were in vain as the under-12s were beaten 4-2 by Moston Juniors.
ROCS under-16s wasted several chances as they slumped to a 4-0 defeat against Hattersley.
JACK Hoyle scored the consolation goal as Chadderton FC Juniors under-13s succumbed 4-1 to Failsworth West.
