NETBALL: OLDHAM Netball Club had two reasons to be cheerful at the Bury tournament with victory for the under-12 and 13 teams.

Both sides were unbeaten on the day, with the under-13s winning a thrilling final against Trafford by a 7-6 scoreline, while the under-12s overcame local rivals Tameside 10-6.

Oldham coach Pam Hazelton said: “The girls have worked extremely hard this season and their efforts have paid off.”
