Leaders stand in the way

FOOTBALL: OLDHAM under-15s have to overcome a big obstacle to reach the Greater Manchester Schools League Woodhead Cup final.
They face league leaders Bolton in the semi-final, with the date and venue to be arranged.
At some point next month Oldham take on Trafford at home in the second round of the North-West Alder Owen Trophy, with the winners travelling to Stockport or Bolton in the last-eight.
CHADDY End under-16s beat Stalybridge Celtic 3-1 in the Tameside Sunday League.
On target were Tom Heap, Adam Mullins and Zak Porter.
OLDHAM Athletic under-16s were beaten 5-0 at home by Moston Juniors.
Chloe Austin and Feiruz Abdullahi netted for the under-15s, but they lost 8-2 to Denton Girls.
The under-12s were beaten 2-1 by Heyside Blues, with Alicia Bocking producing the consolation goal.
CHADDERTON under-13s were held to a 2-2 draw by Failsworth Rangers in the Tameside and District Junior League.
On the mark for Chadderton were Jack Garside and Michael Gill.
RYAN Hall was at the double for Crompton Villa under-14s, but they lost 3-2 to Failsworth Dynamos.
PHOENIX Athletic under-13s drew 5-5 with Shawclough in the Rochdale and Oldham Sunday League.
Cameron Reavey and Aaron Beckett grabbed a brace each, and were joined on the scoresheet by Bradley Gordon.
