Rhema leads way for ROCS

FOOTBALL: RHEMA Mears notched a hat-trick for ROCS under-16s in their 9-0 triumph over Oldham Athletic in the North Manchester Girls’ League Cup quarter-finals.
Anna Moorhouse and Courtney Byrne got two goals apiece, while Megan Jackson and Angela Fox completed the rout.
HEYSIDE Angels Blues under-15s defeated Uppermill 4-3 thanks to a Leoni Harland double and Danielle Partington and Charlie Evans efforts.
They also got the better of Rochdale Ladies 6-3. Harland got two goals, with Partington, Evans, Sophie Montgomery and Alix Sephton netting.
The under-14s were 3-1 victors over Ashton Puma, courtesy of goals from Sephton, Hayley Tomlinson and Kinsa Hmami.
And Sephton got a hat-trick as they swept aside Chadderton Park 7-0.
Also on the mark were Tomlinson, Hmami, Bryony Bolton and Ella Milovanovic.
Mia Holden struck four times and Jade Hughes twice as the under-13s beat Failsworth Dynamos 10-0.
Caitlin Senior, Emily Whitehead, Tia Jackson and Ellie Doggett also scored.
They defeated Bury Girls 7-0 through braces from Holden and Doggett, and further efforts from Hughes, Jackson and Georgia Clarke.
This was followed by a 6-5 defeat of Dukinfield. Caitlin Senior scored twice, with Doggett, Holden, Jackson and Hughes on target.
Heyside’s under-11s beat Chadderton Park 4-0 after a Robyn Hartley brace and strikes from Katie Halligan and Beth Boothroyd.
They also beat Moston Brook 4-1, courtesy of Aislin Miller (two), Kay and Boothroyd.
And Kay mustered two goals in a 4-1 defeat of Failsworth Villa. Halligan and Hartley tied up the scoring.
