Oldham pair prove a point

BOXING: WAQAS Hussain and Cameron Joyce enjoyed victories at a show in Moston.

Representing Oldham Boxing and Personal Development Centre, Waqas (15) used slick counter-punching to earn a points triumph over Darnhill’s C Barnes.

Cameron also won on points after a polished display against Darnhill’s Jason Seal.

The 14-year-old followed it up with victory over Oliver Robinson, of Halifax.

Cameron stopped his opponent in the second round after a flurry of punches.
