TENNIS:
AFTER the success of their under-17s side, Royton Tennis Club are looking to build for the future.
Officials are stepping up their search for fresh faces, particularly under-14s and under-17s.
And they hope new arrivals can go on to match the success of previous teams.
Club chairman Gill Smith said: “We have had a strong junior section in the past at Royton with our under-17s winning the Manchester & District Lawn Tennis League Division One twice.
“But they have now grown up so we need to rebuild for the future.
“We are hoping to find new under-14s and under-17s.
“Two of the under-17s team have gone on to pass their Level One coaching in order for them to assist a qualified coach.”
Royton also want to recruit new adult members for social and competitive tennis.
Call Gill on 07977 123168 for more details.
